The  ruins of  the ancient town of Galleria Antica now known as the city of shadows, north of  Rome, limited to the west by  the Arrone River is covered with the mysteries. Around the middle of the 18th century,  the locals began to die in a somewhat mysterious way until the city was completely abandoned.

Logical explanations assumed that those suspicious deaths were due to an epidemic of malaria, a not rare disease in an area that at the time, but without any proof to support it. And what lies behind the sudden summer of 1809? Even now it is a mystery .

The local legend talk about that a ghost wanders at night, the spirit of a man who died during the period of malaria  who returns punctually every year within the walls , singing and playing for his beloved. Many people claim to have heard hoofs and moans, especially in winter.

Many witnesses say they often heard the sound of a horse’s hooves; others, more sceptical, say that the river Arrone beats the stones, who will know?

The spirit of adventurer in each of us will tick as to see this little bit dangerous but absolutely exciting place, City of Shadows.
